Vaginal RejuvenatioN "Vaginoplasty"

At Associated Women’s Health, we see many women who are unhappy with the way they look or feel sexually. Vaginal Rejuvenation is a reconstructive procedure that helps correct vaginal structures that may have been damaged due to congenital diseases, childbirth, physical trauma, or cancer. This procedure, typically combined with labiaplasty, aims to strengthen the vulvo-vaginal area, firm up, and reshape tissue for a more youthful appearance by removing the extra lining of the vagina and tightening the muscles underneath. This decreases the dimensions of the vagina and can both increase and/or restore sexual gratification for both partners.

Vaginal Rejuvenation is performed under sedation or general anesthesia combined with local anesthesia. The procedure last 1-2 hours, and is typically combined with other procedures such as labiaplasty.

Recovery: Patients are expected to experience mild to moderate discomfort for as little as a few days and up to a few weeks after surgery that can be easily controlled with pain medication. Any strenuous activity should be avoided for 2 weeks after surgery, and both sexual activity and tampon use should be avoided for 6 weeks after surgery.
