At Associated Women's Health, our primary goal is to provide patients with the most advanced treatments available in medicine. Dr. Zapata undergoes continuing medical education and utilizes the latest in surgical and robotic technologies. He is currently using the minimally invasive da Vinci robotic surgical system.

With the da Vinci robotic surgical system, all movements are directly controlled by your surgeon. This surgical system allows your surgeon to perform both routine and complex surgeries, all while creating the fewest incisions possible. With the magnified 3D high-definition vision system your surgeon can view images magnified up to 10 times. The tiny wristed instruments bend and rotate far greater than the human wrist, which results in smaller, more precise movements.

The da Vinci robotic surgical system allows for more patients to receive treatment via laparoscopic surgeries, such as hysterectomy or myomectomy, with the additional benefits mentioned above.

The da Vinci surgical system can be used to treat the following health conditions:

o   Endometriosis

o   Gynecological Cancers including,

o   Cervical, Uterine, Endometrial, and Ovarian Cancer

o   Heavy Uterine Bleeding

o   Uterine Fibroids

o   Uterine Prolapse

How can minimally invasive da Vinci surgery help patients?

o   Faster recovery time

o   Minimized risk of blood loss

o   Smaller incisions

o   Minimized scarring

o   Less need for pain medication
